Founded in 2003 by native Idahoans Molly and Darin Burrell, Sawtooth Foods offers quality gourmet sauces, rubs, marinades and spice mixes for use by gourmet cooks and the average backyard grillers who are looking for quality, consistency and the taste of Idaho.
Just as the early pioneers and miners searched the vast land of Idaho for fortune and happiness, Sawtooth Foods has successfully searched and found quality, all natural ingredients for all of the products we make. Each recipe has been developed and taste tested with friends and relatives who enjoy entertaining and sharing their creations.
The Barbeque Sauce was first developed as a request during Darin's professional training at the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco, California. With the desire to introduce the wild beauty of Idaho to the fast paced inhabitants of the city, the sauce was made to encompass the rich taste and rugged texture of outdoor Idaho.
As we add new products to our collection, we hope to embody the spirit of what makes Idaho great, the wild, untamed beauty of a mountain range like no other, and the adventurous personalities of the people that chose to call Idaho home.
